tutorial 1.
For the first time I made a tutorial and I really hope you like it. I did my best trying to explain it and I hope it worked ;)

Tutorial made in ps7 works in all versions of PS.

=>

First fix up you icon, you know sharpen it, croping etc.
I start with a base of emma watson, you can use if you like :)

1. Go to layer => New adjustment layer => Hue/Saturation/lightness
set saturation +18 but it depens.

I got something like this:

2. Go to layer => new adjustment layer => new curves layer
The settings:
RGB: Input: 152 Output: 182 (just ONE point!)
Red: Input: 147 Output: 150 (just ONE point!)
Green: Input: 170 Output: 183 (just One point!)
Blue: Input: 168 Output: 189 (watch it this one has TWO points!)
Input: 110 Output: 92

I got something like this:

I like it but I think it's a bit to green, now the following step is optional, but I think it looks better with it.

3. at a new layer and fill it with #99CCFF put it to colorburn. My opacity was 25, but that depens on the icon.

My final result:

I hope you liked it, if you have anything ask, please comment ;)
if you are very lazy here's the PSD File

haha okay, so I copied the instructions into psp, (it translated very well actually) but first I read it wrong because of the font I was using and saw 110 as 10, and I got after I upped the saturation to about 45 and left off the burn layer. (the original is here fyi)

Great tutorial and beautiful coloring <3

Is there any way to get the same color without using curves? I'm using PS Elements, so I don't have the curves options...

sorry for the very late replay.

no I don't know. I use curves a lot and I'm not used using ps elements. I wish I could help you with it :)
